# The test agent can speak

Voice agents, WebRTC calls and dictation flows tested end to end, without audio files.

STOCKHOLM, 21 October 2026 – An automated browser hands an app silence. Speech-to-text never fires, a voice agent never hears a question, and the whole flow stays untested. QA.tech removed that limit in two steps.

## Audio into the microphone (10 August)

Audio Input configs feed a prepared recording into the app's microphone mid-test. Add one under Settings → Configs, upload a short clip and attach it to a test case. When the agent opens the microphone, the clip plays in, so dictation and voice-command flows get real audio. The played clip appears as a track on that step in the run tracer.

## The agent speaks (21 October)

Script a spoken line in a test and it is synthesised and played into the call as one conversational turn. That makes a voice agent, a roleplay or a phone survey testable end to end. Pick a voice and add delivery instructions such as tone, pace or accent. In the run trace each step reads `Say: "…"` with the spoken text and the voice shown above the player. Attaching an audio file still works.

## Why it matters

Voice interfaces are shipping faster than teams can test them by hand, and a flow that depends on a microphone was previously verified by someone talking into a laptop. Now it runs like any other test case.
