Smart crawl and default test plans for new projects

    2 updates shipped on March 11, 2026.

    1. Update 01 of 02

New projects ship with Regression and Smoke test plans

A fresh project is no longer an empty list of test plans.

When you create a new project, QA.tech now automatically creates a "Regression" and a "Smoke" test plan. As we shifted away from "run all tests" toward running test plans, having two ready on day one means the first run feels like a real run instead of a setup task.

Test plan membership stays under your control – the new plans start empty and you decide which tests go in.

    2. Update 02 of 02

      Smart crawl on application creation

A button to let the agent explore a fresh app and propose tests automatically.

When you add a new application to a project, there's now a "Smart Crawl" button that hands the app to the chat agent and asks it to explore. It crawls, asks for credentials when needed, creates exploratory tests, reflects on what it found, and saves knowledge items as it goes.

This is the fastest way to go from "I just connected my app" to "I have a meaningful set of test cases" without typing them out manually.
