Issue trackers & PM

QA.tech + Jira

The Jira integration works in both directions. Inbound, the AI chat assistant and PR reviews read a Jira ticket so generated tests are grounded in its acceptance criteria. Outbound, any detected test issue can be pushed to Jira as a ticket, one per issue, with test steps and evidence, a qatech label, and a link back to the run. You choose the project and issue type.

What you can do

  • Generate tests directly from a Jira story or bug
  • Attach QA context to a PR linked to a ticket
  • File reproducible bug tickets with evidence when a run fails
  • Keep issue tracking in Jira while execution lives in QA.tech

Where teams use this

Jira in practice

The primary pattern is test generation from tickets: point the agent at a story and the acceptance criteria become the test. During PR reviews the linked ticket gives the agent context on intent, not just the diff. And when exploratory runs find bugs, they land in Jira as tickets your team can actually reproduce.
