QA.tech + Slack

The Slack integration posts run-completion alerts through a bot. Set a default project channel so every run notifies a shared space, and override the channel per run when triggering via the API, so a release plan can report to its own channel.

What you can do

  • Team-wide visibility of results in one shared channel
  • Route specific runs (e.g. a release plan) to a dedicated channel
  • Close the loop from trigger to result without opening a dashboard

Where teams use this

Slack in practice

Slack is the delivery layer for everything else: PR runs, deploy-triggered smoke checks, and the critical-path regression plan all report here. The per-run override matters most on release days, when one channel watches one plan.

FAQ

Common questions

Can different runs report to different channels?
Yes, override the channel per run when triggering via API; otherwise the project default applies.
